On BAYLERN, you can learn the basics of IT security in order to be equipped as a “human firewall” for any attacks. The course teaches you everything you need to know about email, phishing, passwords, your own workstation – both in the office and on the move, as well as how to use AI safely. The video lasts 45 minutes, but can be paused at any time, since your progress is recorded. Participants receive a certificate at the end of the basic course.

The competence center SecAware.nrw offers a comprehensive range of self-study materials on cyber and information security for universities. It has been designed for universities in North Rhine-Westphalia, but is highly relevant for other locations as well.
