Teaching mobility
Teaching mobility
One goal of FAU’s internationalisation strategy is to take a more international approach to teaching and to encourage lecturers and staff to travel abroad. Several opportunities are open to lecturers (research associates, professors, doctoral candidates, teaching staff) who are employed by FAU and who would like to expand their horizons in an international and intercultural context. In most cases, funding is available upon request.
FAU encourages staff from all areas to take part in training abroad such as job shadowing, placements, and participation in specialist courses and workshops. For more details, please refer to the section about staff mobility.
Staff are also welcome to participate in short-term or long-term teaching stays abroad. International Affairs has put together all the information you need about the main funding providers in this area (the EU educational programme Erasmus+ and the DAAD) as well as about other programmes and contacts on the pages below. We recommend reading the Euraxess platform of the European Commission to prepare for your stay. It contains information about funding as well as a job portal and information about formalities for stays abroad.
