Research and teaching allowance

Professors and assistant professors in the W pay grade can receive a research and/or teaching allowance in addition to their basic salary in accordance with Section 57 BayBesG if, in their main occupation, they raise third-party funds for research and/or teaching projects at the university, carry out these projects and the third-party funding organization has given its consent to the payment. Research and teaching allowances within the calendar year may not exceed 100 percent of annual basic salary.
